The NIHR South Manchester Clinical Research Facility is one of the smallest facilities funded by the NIHR, allowing us to closely monitor our patients and ensure the highest levels of safety during their participation in clinical research trials.

Our Facility has been refurbished to a high standard to provide a modern and safe environment for you. We have a five-bed ward; two private rooms for day patient or inpatient use; a well-equipped respiratory laboratory with facilities for basic and complex lung function tests; access to state of the art laboratory for sample handling and processing.  The Facility also houses the ManARTS Biobank by providing freezer space for a variety of tissue samples stored for future research.
